I’m constantly trying to break my own view of the world. This might sound strange at first, but hear me out. My thinking goes like this.
We each build up our world around us through our perception. When we’re born, we’re like a clean slate. Nothing written on it. As we grow older, the influences from our parents, immediate family, friends, etcetera start shaping how we view the world. This is good, that is bad. Read the rest of this entry »

So recently I published this image on my Facebook profile. It sparked quite a debate. I was mostly surprised that the only people that commented were atheists. Even after sending a message to a couple of my friends, all from different beliefs, no-one else jumped in on the conversation. This debate carried on for so long that eventually I actually started getting bored with it. Read the rest of this entry »

So often we say, “my life is a failure, it’s not working the way I want it to. I wish I could have..” fill in the blanks. Ever tried to look at it from a different point of view? Ever considered that you are not actually even in charge of your life?
Think about this for awhile. Consider the fact that the more you are trying to make things go your way, the more you are actually interfering with the way things are meant to be. Read the rest of this entry »

Reading all my friends’ updates on Facebook it becomes clear that a lot of people have a lot of negativity from 2010. So I decided to quickly do this post before the clock strikes 12.
I hope that everyone will read this and apply it to their lives. It is the same thing I have been going on and on about to everybody. It can change your life, your world, the entire world. In 2011, stop complaining. Everytime you feel the urge coming on to complain, take a look at yourself, and ask, ‘How am I responsible for this thing in my life?’. ‘What is in this for me to learn?’. Then take responsibility for it and decide how you are going to change yourself to stop this thing from happening in your life. Very deep down inside, you will find the answer as to why something is happening in your life. And no, it’s not God that did it! Read the rest of this entry »

You know you always hear people saying, ‘I believe in God’. Or, ‘I believe there is a God’. Let’s think about this rationally. Based on what? I bet you the next reply is, ‘Because the Bible says so’. So what? Do you believe in the Bible too? I ask again, based on what?
What makes people say things like this? How do they know? Based on what facts? And I’m not leaning towards science here, I mean seriously. Think rational here for a minute. Read the rest of this entry »

So many times everyday you hear people complaining. If it’s not the weather, it’s their spouse, or their children, or their friends. Using a social network like Facebook, you come to realise just how bad it actually is. It’s like an epidemic. The thing is, what people don’t realise is just how potent the power of thought really is. And put on top of that the law of attraction and it is no wonder that they complain so much. They are literally creating their own crappy lives. Trust me, I’ve been there. Read the rest of this entry »

Ok not quite the topic I thought I would start this blog off with, but seeing as it’s Monday, and seeing as I really can’t wait to get rolling with this, I suppose it’s as good a topic as any.
What is it about Monday’s that puts the whole world in such a slump? Surely not everyone suffers from a hangover! Well, I suppose you could call it a hangover whether it’s alcohol induced or not. When it’s weekend, we experience our freedom. We are reminded of who we are, we can spend time with our loved ones and do whatever it is we want to do. Roll up Monday, and we are once again reminded that none of us are truly free. So lets see how we can look at this from a spiritual point of view. Read the rest of this entry »
